Vanessa Moore began dancing at age of three. After dancing at several different studios, Vanessa joined OrigiNation Cultural Arts Center in 2009. She joined Nia Dance Troupe in 2010. Outside of performing with the company, she was able to travel with OrigiNation on the Youth Empowerment Tour to New Orleans, LA in 2011. Vanessa is now a full time Doctorate of Medicine student at St. George's University School of Medicine. Her time with OrigiNation has given her the confidence to be able to pursue a career in such a difficult field. Vanessa looks forward to a career as a physician, an advocate for patients of color, and as a mentor for young women of color looking to become physicians themselves.
